Do It In A Dress 2020

My Activity Tracking

My target 50 kms

I'm Running 50km In My School Dress because...

130 million girls around the world are out of school. Young women deserve, and have a right to education. Educating girls will not only changes their personal lives but also their families, communities and countries. Women should have the equal right to pursue whatever career they dream of and the first step to that is quality education for all.

I'm putting on a school dress to raise awareness and raise funds for girls' education. Because when I put on a dress, I'll be helping girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda put on a school dress and take charge of their futures.

Help me put in a change through girls' education, despite ones socioeconomic status globally!

My Updates

Day 2

It was a really great day for a run this afternoon! The sun was shining, and it felt really nice to get some fresh air. I also hit the halfway point to my target which is amazing! Thank you so much to everyone sponsoring me I can't thank you enough.
I thought I would share a fact about Sierra Leone today as that is what we are funding. So, did you know although primary level education is a legal requirement, due to a shortage of schools and teachers it is virtually impossible for every child to be granted that right? This is not acceptable and one of the key reasons why I am running for this organisation, as every child deserves the right to be educated!

Day 1

Today was interesting running in my school dress, a few weird stares were observed but ultimately it felt very rewarding !

Hi There,

I am choosing to participate in DO IT IN A DRESS this year because I believe no matter what your socioeconomic background is, every young woman globally deserves to be educated.
Education is a powerful tool that many of us take for granted, so my question is if we can pass on a human right to others, why shouldn't we?
Education is the foundation of a girl's hopes and dreams, whether it be community, family or career-wise. I know I have some big dreams and would hate to know that another girl, could not pursue the same just because she is located in a different place, or doesn't have the access to the same resources I do.
I would appreciate it so much if you could donate to my page, or share it because everything matters!
I will be travelling 50km in my school dress until October 11th which is International Day of the Girl, (declared by the United Nations).
I encourage everyone else to participate in this challenge with me!
Thank you to everyone who is supporting me.

Thank you to my Sponsors
