I'm Doing It In A Dress because...
...a girl in Uganda and Sierra Leone is more likely to be married by 18 than attend high school - but we can do something about it!
Despite my consistent complaining about assignments, I've been so lucky to have access to education opportunities that have changed my life. But 130 million girls around the world are denied an education.
As part of an incredible team at STEM@ANU, I'm fundraising with Do It In A Dress for girl's education. Educating girls not only changes the lives of those girls, but also their families, communities and countries. Educated women are able to lead safer, more autonomous lives, increase their earning potential and are *twice* as likely to educate their children.
Your money will go to providing access to education, promoting health and menstraul hygeine, and advocating for safe relationships and championing gender equality.
Because when I put on a dress, I'll be helping girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda put on a school dress and take charge of their futures.
Reached 100% of your fundraising target! A+ effort!
