My reason for Do - ing it in a Dress
I feel so privileged and blessed to have grown up where I have, receiving the education that I have. However, not many girls have had those same opportunities that I have been handed my entire life. More than 130 girls around the world are denied education. Sierra Leone has an illiteracy rate of 50% for girls between of 15-24 and up to 40% of girls in Uganda are married before even coming of age.
Consequently, because of the organisation “One Girl”, I’ll be joining the Women’s College team and wear a school dress during the month of September to promote female education in countries such as Uganda and Sierra Leone. It is such an important cause and means a lot to me because every girl deserves an education, which will help solve many other social issues.
So any donation would be greatly appreciated, to support this amazing cause. Thank you. ♥️
I'm Doing It In A Dress because of how lucky and privileged I feel to have received the education that I have.
... 130 million girls around the world are out of school. Educating girls not only changes the lives of those girls, but also their families, communities and countries. Not only that, but getting more girls in school will have a positive impact on climate change! A win-win-win.
I'm putting on a school dress to raise awareness and raise funds for girls' education. Because when I put on a dress, I'll be helping girls in Sierra Leone and Uganda put on a school dress and take charge of their futures.
Help me change the world through girls' education!
