With more than 132 million girls around the world who are unable to access education, a fair world starts with girls’access to education.
Meet Yenor*, a One Girl graduate who is now studying Public Sector Management at University with a dream to work in a job that stands for girls and women.
By providing girls with all they need inside and outside the classroom, you can help girls like Yenor* to graduate, continue their studies, and work towards their dream job.
“One Girl gave me lunch, paid my school fees, lesson fees, provide all my needs, including bags, shoes, uniform per academic year, two uniforms per academic year, socks, geometry set and all of my materials used in school.
Throughout the 7 years of being a scholar for One Girl, it has been an amazing experience. One Girl helped me to achieve most of my dreams, and helped me to pay all of my bills and assist me when I go to school.
If not for One Girl, I don’t know where I would be now.”
We are working towards a future where EVERY girl has access to equal opportunity, starting with their education. And we need your help to get there!
This International Women's Day, you can support girls to access an education, by providing them with what they need to stay in school:
- $25 could provide 5 One Girl Scholars with lunch money for one month.
- $40 can provide a One Girl Scholar with a solar light to help her do homework after school.
- $100 can provide sanitary pads to 33 One Girl Scholars for a month.
- $200 can provide a One Girl Scholar with a back-to-school kit, which includes a school bag, books, pen, school uniform, ceremonial uniforms, shoes, hats, calculator, geometry set, veil, school belt and much more.
- $2,200 contributes to supporting a One Girl Scholar inside and outside the classroom for an entire year, by breaking down the financial, cultural, and social barriers a girl in Sierra Leone faces.
By investing in girl's education, you are supporting girls like Yenor* to graduate and work towards their dream job.
